The theological doctrine that Jesus Christ had no
human father; Christians believe that Jesus's birth
fulfilled Old Testament prophecies and was attended
by miracles.
This
is the Christian teaching about the miraculous conception
of Jesus by Mary through the Holy Spirit. In other
words, it is believed that Jesus did not have an earthly,
human father.
