With an estimated 2.1 billion adherents in 2001, Christianity
is the world's largest religion. It is the predominant
religion in Europe, the Americas, Sub-Saharan Africa,
the Philippine Islands, Australia, and New Zealand.
It is also growing rapidly in Africa and Asia, particularly
